Our self defence instructor has 45 years experience in martial arts, karate, kickboxing, Thai boxing and Jiu Jitsu, training men, women and children martial arts and self defence.
The classes have been created to give back a sense of empowerment, raise awareness, increase confidence, fitness, strength, focus and physical ability. We believe that by feeling confident in your ability to protect yourself, empowers you to live with less fear and more freedom.
Last year we held several classes which proved to be a great success we met one lady who explained to us, how she felt after fleeing abuse and what she hoped to gain from the classes.
She now says, “Learning self defence was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m no longer afraid to be alone, or to leave my house unaccompanied. I feel confident that I’m able to defend myself if ever I’m threatened. My anxiety has really improved and given me back so much that was taken away from me. Anyone who has been a victim of abuse will understand the scars that are left behind, and as a survivor I encourage all survivors to take up the self Defence classes because they really do make such a difference. The classes will help you gain:
Safety: The empowerment classes gives ability to protect yourself and overcome an attacker. Knowing how to defend yourself will help you feel less anxious or fearful when walking alone. You will learn the basics of how to quickly disable and protect yourself from an attacker.
Street awareness: Enhance your awareness of your surroundings. You never know when it might happen; you never plan to be attacked, so you must always be on the aware of your surroundings, Empowerment classes will help you gain this awareness if this type of situation should arise.
Increased self confidence: Our classes in self defence helps people, especially women to become more confidence in themselves and their surroundings. Knowing that you have the ability to defend yourself will give you confidence and freedom.
By learning self defence, you will maintain your muscle and endurance with other exercise activities. Naturally, your overall fitness will improve. A variety of fitness techniques, will improve your overall body condition while teaching you important self-defence techniques.
