We are immensely grateful for all contributions, no matter how big or how small.

We know we can help so many more people who are desperately searching for a route out of the destructive environments they find themselves in, but this can only be done with sufficient resources of either donated items, financial capital or volunteered time.

Every donated item or financial contribution helps an individual trapped in a toxic and damaging environment escape and be empowered to make a new, fresh and positive start. In addition to donated items, we can use personal financial contributions or funds raised to purchase items for survivors.

Our mission is to support families and individuals who have fled domestic abuse, by providing them with the household goods and furnishings needed to enable them to transform their empty houses into functioning homes.

Without essential household goods, survivors of domestic abuse cannot restart a new life in a safe, secure home. Nested provide the tangible amenities needed to make the vision of a happy, protected life a reality for survivors of a toxic and abusive background.

Donations of household items.

The very sad reality is that, without our help, survivors of abusive relationships may not be in a position to flee their situation. Rehouse to Rehome needs your help to be able to support those that need us. We require donations of essential household goods in order to furnish houses and turn them into homes for the individuals we work with.

The items required are basic necessities and include:

• Wardrobes / drawers
• Furniture (sofas, dining tables, coffee tables, bed frames, mattresses)
• Cookers / stoves
• Washing machines
• Fridge-freezers
• Microwaves
• Kettles
• Televisions

Please be aware that all items must be clean, and sofas and mattresses must be stain-free and have the original fire label intact.

​Electrical appliances are urgently needed. However, they must be clean and in full working order. A PAT test will be carried out on any electrical items at your address when collecting; any items failing a PAT test will not be collected. Donating your unrequired household goods is a great way to recycle! Rehouse to Rehome are passionate about sustainability and the importance of re-using items.

Donating your furniture or electrical appliance will mean that they are not sent to overflowing landfill sites.

Businesses and organisations

We are appealing to local businesses and outlets specialising in household appliances or household services to consider donating essential goods to our charity as a part of your corporate social responsibility aims.
